As our planet’s environment changes, we need to study, learn and master the realities of living in a world dominated by water. The Water Campus offers an unusual opportunity to curb this tide. THE POWER OF KNOWLEDGE In the hopes of ensuring a better tomorrow, we are building TheWater Campus today! TheWater Campus is aworld-class research center where scientists and engineers will develop new concepts to protect our wet- lands and save our coastlines. Located on the shores of the Mississippi River and built around the central idea of collaboration, the Water Campus is currently home to the Coastal Protection & Restoration Authority, the agency in charge of implementing the $500 billion coastal master plan, and the LSU Center for River Studies - a scaled physical model of the lower Mississippi River. The Center for Coastal &Deltaic Solutions sits on the city’s old municipal dock and is home to the Water Institute of The Gulf, The Estuary, a 6,000 square foot Confer- ence & Event Venue.
